Buzz,

What you said was
Quote:
1. Don't wear shorts and flip flops in San Jose unless you like to look like a dead ringer for a gringo. Only wear this at the beach.

Amigo if what you are stating is what you hear Ticas say label it as such. No where in your statement do I see a disclaimer it reads as your statement of fact and your reply to Dino reinforces that concept.

The reference to super monger Don Gordo is that he wears shorts all the time.

Am I missing something here? Isn't our advantage with the chicas the fact that we are gringos? In the daytime I have no problem with shorts- in the night, I wear long pants.

Thanks guys for the info. What I understand is don't wear shorts, unless you want to, but don't unless you want everyone know you are a gringo, which is not a bad thing :? .. I'm just joking. I think I will play it on how I feel when I get there, I will bring both shorts and jeans

I'm also going to go to Kaya's Place, any word on this place and the area?

Thanks again.

Sorry should have said that Kayasplace is a hotel in Puerto Viejo.
I was just curious if anyone has been there and how is it , and the area. It seems pretty cool rom the reviews I have read on other travel sites.
