There are inherent risks when traveling the world and / or being expat... If you can't factor these risks into your overall state of well being and are constantly worried about "what if", perhaps you should just stay home wrapped in a woolen blanket...

or be informed as what to do prior to leaving? "There are inherent risks when....." going outside the house or getting up out of a chair you're sitting in at the moment in your own abode.....*shrug*

Costa Rica ain't Jamaica. No war going on in Jamaica. Costa Rica ain't Belize. No war going on in Belize. Costa Rica ain't Grand Caymn. No war going on in the Cayman Islands (except at Mosten's Pool Hall in Bodden Town on Saturday nights, but that is different manner of war).

There is a lot going on in Costa Rica that the uniformed are better off NOT knowing because if said uniformed WERE TO KNOW what's what out where....well....that's all I have to say about that.....Keep them rose colored glasses on boys.....they work for a time..... 8)

Hey Fruitcake... you have never met me and clearly have no clue as to how many times I have set foot in SJO. As well, you have NO CLUE as to what my background is. With all that being said.... you place yourself in the fruitcake bin at the local supermarket.

One other thing Fruitycake... your apparent attempt to emulate Greengo is falling miserably on its face. You "ain't" no Greengo and you never will be!

MERRY CHRISTMAS.............

Funny Queen:

I am not Greengo. Greengo is probably the most cogent poster on this message board. I think you meant to say my efforts were failing though, not falling. Need to watch that, Nursie (LPN at that....what....ya need a 6 week on line course for the LICENSE?!)....

You have never met me, either, Queenie....and I know more about you than you might care to know....all through your own self disclosure.....you ARE, afterall, LICENSED, right? hahahahahahahhaaa and just how complicated is it to be lifting the enfeebled for their enemas? I mean....you ARE licensed, correct? You done spent a LOT of time on this here message board preaching about that LICENSE. *shrug* :P :P 8)

I further note you're not a supporter of this web site; no dimes paid in (not that that means you're fully ignorant....) but sure do opine a lot on a place and country where you spend no time. Shall I post your entry stamp dates and exit stamp dates. Nah, I can't do that. I don't have that information, right? Sure....yeah....I don't .....I'm just posing.....uh huh...... :D

In CR people over 60 years of age are precluded from giving blood.

I am licensed in the medical field and I have posted that info previously. I have NEVER posted what license I hold. Any assumption you make results in you looking like a fruitcake. No, I did not intend to use "fail". One "falls on their face". Read the statement again.

As to membership... do you know how many annual memberships I have had? No, you don't, but it totals more than your one time lifetime membership fee.

The real reason you hold very little to no credibility with me is the following. In your very first post on this board, Nov. 27, 2007 you made the following statement...
Quote:
I speak some Spanish and amused staff with my efforts in same.

Then on Aug. 1, 2008, in a reply to a post I made you stated...
Quote:
I am FLUENT in Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking; FLUENT) and not your "typical" "monger".

Now, you know why I think you're a "fruitcake". You're full of "nuts". Oh, and fruit as well.

To redirect the "typical" turn if the gash severed an artery, then yes, one could have a serious bleeding injury. Sever enough veins and one has the same result.

WHY do we put up with these constant personal attacks?

Man....you done did some searching via search to compile that data, and I'm proud it was on my behalf, honeyboy. Or do you keep logs of your chosen?! I sure did achieve a lot in the course of a mere nine months, huh?! DISINFORMATION on my part? Out and out liar? [That one right there elevates me to Presidential Status a al "Mission Accomplished" George Bush; "I did not have sexual relations with that woman" Bill Clinton; and the best of all "I'm not a crook." Dick Nixon] Mentally unstable? [That's the one I prefer best of all....] To use your term....Fruitcake (that really hurt me up bad, man...really it did...; like that other boy noted, WHY must we endure all these personal attacks on this internet message board. You need to cut that out....fruitcake? OUCH!!! :P )? You're helping me out here, and I THANK YOU!! :!: I'm happy it's working and glad I gave you a purpose...well...at least for a few days or so.... You'll never actually know, will ya...about that language thing? And that is EXACTLY the way I like it. Oh, and I'm just THRILLED TO DEATH that you've paid so many ANNUAL years. Continue forward with that brilliant strategy....

Berk2302: "I am licensed in the medical field." Amusing! :P :P

Here http://www.medicaltourismco.com/medical ... osta-rica/ we have Hospital Clinica Biblica noting:

"Hospital Clinica Biblica is the only private hospital in Costa Rica to have its own blood bank." Now, why would they be SELLING they've their own, private blood bank if things were up to date in CR blood wise?

Here's a little ditty....a bit dated....back to 2006 http://www.bloodbanktalk.com/forum/show ... softwares!! "hi; I work in the National Blood Bank of Costa Rica, Central America. We don't have any software system, so all our work and documentation are perfomanced manually."

Concluding, it is my experience, granted, not personal but close enough to home I'm owning it, one does NOT want to first go to a private hospital to be stabalized due to a bleeding wound. Go to a public facility first OR RISK BLEEDING TO DEATH....in the 21st Century no less.....
