How would I know my phone number?
The SIM card comes with a phone number, they will tell you what it is. You should ask if you aren't sure. It will be 8 digits, starting with an 8.

How would the person dial my number from the US. in other words, would it be an international call from the US?
Unlike the US, you don't get charged minutes for incoming calls in CR. If somebody wanted to call you from the US, they would dial
011-506-xxxx-xxxx. Again, you will get the number when you buy the SIM.

How would I make an international call from Costa Rica to the US using this unlocked phone?
You would dial
001-area code-number. It can be done from the pre-paid SIM, but it will waste a lot of minutes. I don't remember exactly, but when I called once, I think it deducted about ¢150 per minute for a US call versus ¢40 for a local call. So a ¢2,500 SIM which gives you 60 local minutes, may give you about 15 minutes to the US.
