....but J0sie....I am muy Tico.....folders ARE 21st Century. Labels are sticky pieces of paper you put on the edge of a folder so you can write or even type the name of the folder on the label. If you're lucky they (the labels) even have a self adhesive strip on one side, otherwise it has to be licked to stick to the folder. That's what I told Google, not to mention that even when you use the gmail label it still don't leave the inbox unless you archive it....yet another step for the Joe Average who just wants to see a folder because well...it looks like a folder...it just has a sticky label on it!!!....I haven't heard from them in a while now that I think about it....
Anyway....we're trying to help Patriot out here and he don't need to learn Google lingo....waste of time....the analysis of gmail for power users is a different story....but for the mainstreamer, there are too many "built ins" within Gmail (yes, you can shut them off....we're not here to compare the software....it has it's use....again the focus is Joe Average User Keep It Simple; I'm sick of having to learn new lingo; I am used to what a folder looks like and I don't want to start re-learning how to do email again, etc.) and both hotmail and yahoo are following I'm afraid with the add on stuff that is.... Stuff like hushmail.com as well as safe-mail.net....both free accounts have their usages, blah, blah, blah.
For J0sie only:

....and Google itself notes: "Actually, Gmail doesn't use folders."
PS: My CRT account is tied to a gmail.com address. It doesn't have a label because gmail won't let me make a folder!!!
