It's been pointed out before but worth repeating, if you are going to use a credit card, use one that does not charge a foreign transaction fee. Capital One is the only one I'm aware of, I keep the account almost exclusively for stays in non US hotels.

It's not that I don't like CR, it's the hassle of always having to look over your shoulder to see who or what may be following. The cops are worse than the street thugs.

I had 1 of my business credit cards somehow duplicated while staying at the Clarion. This happen 6 months after my last trip before someone tried to charge in excess of $3000. on that card. The bank cleared the charges within days but I still wonder how someone could get ahold of this card that was locked in my safe from the first hour in the room till I left. It has to be an inside job. I never have used any business cards in CR. I only carry them incase of an emergency with my business back in the states.

After so many trips over 3 years maybe it's time for a change of scenery or maybe I'm just burn't out from all the BS happening down there. In my heart CR was a great beginning to mongering and I met some nice friends from CRT and some HOT latina woman that I will never forget. I'm sure I'll return next year for some more fun. I just want to try some new places like DR or MDE. Peace, brother Lionking
