I had LASIK done a year ago. It worked out very well and I now have 20/15 vision in both eyes.
For those of you who are very concerned about the risks, I was too. I have a couple suggestions:
1) Do your research and go to a place which has a very good track record. Ideally they will have been in business for a long time at the same location and perhaps you will know some friends who had a good result from there. Note that the top places I found charge MORE $$. Do you really want to go to a cheap place when the health of your eyes is involved?
2) Get one eye done at a time. A good place will happily let you do this. If you have a good result with the first eye, get the second one done. If they blind your first eye, well at least you still have the second one. Haha.
