With all the talk and gringa bashing on this board and the "Womens Movement" across several generations now, are you REALLY surprised by this. I am certainly NOT !!! Many marriages throughout the USA have been over for a long time, including many friends who would have bolted a long time ago and stay together for the K*ds. Is this good for the K*ds, subject to debate IMHO but they do it anyway in alarmingly large numbers.

Was I one of the lucky ones who had an outstanding marrigae, YES. I never cheated, nor did I want to. Unfortunately now single again I doubt I will ever find that again, I am not sure I even want to..

Ditto Western on this only I'm 62 and as for k*ds--a vasectomy long, long ago took care of that issue. Was in a long-term (12+ years) relationship but that started at 42 and even that involved more compromise than I care to think about now. Viva Costa Rica!

This site is for like minds. That means "happily married" is an oxymoron, gringas bite, exclusivity is tedious, and Rio ass rocks. But despite our pessimism, there is a segment of dudes who wouldn't trade their hot love for the best termas. I know, hard to believe.

Often they're in the first 7 years (lol), but not always!

Well, the first time I came down it was with four other guys, all married. I think the CR gringo average is a lot more married than the CRT average. I suspect that the married guys are not free enough to have found this site or they are too afraid to post to it.

I was a little surprised to find that two thirds of teh married guys wouldn't bolt!
