Almost 26, moved to CR 3 years ago, had no idea there was a monger scene. I only found this board a few months ago, to be honest the MPs and puta bars just seemed like something fun to do after leaving a club drunk on a wednesday night

I don't have much in common with the average member here, but it's an alright place to get local news.

I'm 43. I've been mongering since my early 20's. Back in those days it was here at home. I remember the days when you could go to the Mustang Ranch and session for $50......those days are long gone. I discovered CR in 98 and it has been a life changing experience.

Turned 32 last week.

Just hit the "big 5-0" last October - which of course I haven't made any secret about. And I shudder to think what would have happened if I had discovered the whole monger "thing" any earlier in life than three years ago. As horny as I was in my 20's and 30's - oh my God - I wouldn't have two nickels to rub together now.

Fortunately, the more relaxed sexual climate in the U.S. during college and my 20's made scoring relatively easy at that time (remember when you would actually go out to a club expecting to pick somebody up and get laid that night?). Then between ages 31-45 I was locked into three successive long-term relationships with (gringa) girlfriends (actually one was an Italian girl who had come over to the U.S. a couple years prior), with no more than a three-month break between them.

After that, something seemed to change. Maybe I recognized the futility of the relationship game - maybe I just wanted cheap and easy sex without having to put a lot of effort into it. But even then, I was still enough of a romantic to try the relationship thing with a non-pro Tica - an eye-opener that will make me think long and hard before taking that plunge again.

This lifestyle has completely phucked me up. I used to work with the goal of moving up the corporate ladder, getting the bad ass (i.e expensive) condo in the trendy neighborhood ,perhaps an S class Benz, and eventually settle down with a pretty gringa and crank out a few K*ds.

Now, I don't give a shit about any of that. I am buying a small place in a quiet suburb. It is about 1/5 of the price of my bad ass condo. I took a pay cut to start an online business, have ZERO desire to get married, and am dreaming about the fact that in the next few months I'll be able to spend 1/4-1/2 of my time in places like Costa Rica, Colombia, and Medellin, and POSSIBLY pick up a little place down in one of those countries.

People call this a hobby. For me this isn't a hobby, this is my lifestyle.
