Any suggestion guys????

Change your dates. Toss up between that week and Semana Santa for the honor of the "Worst Week To Monger In San Jose"

Does that mean you found a cheap airfare?

With all these negative vibes about the week of New Year's Eve looks like I better bring along my laptop to have something to do.

Just curious if there's any other cities that we could party in on New Year's Eve? Our tickets are non-refundable and it sounds like the Del Rey will be dead. We'll be in CR from 12/30 to 1/4. Would Jaco, Limon, or Punterenas City be happenin? We don't want this trip to be a total waste. All we need is a good party and some hot ticas.

Thank you-

I have 1 option: 70k miles on Taca in Biz class. There are no award seats in coach. And I'm not paying $1,000.

I'm considering it... I always have something to do.

Anyone ever go to the sportsman's lodge New Year's Eve party? Just wondering what it's like. Also, is Jaco better than San Jose over NYE? I heard San Jose is dead. How about Punterenas City?

From my experience NYE is a family holiday in CR and chicas WILL be at home to bring in the new year with family and SJO is a ghost town on the 1st. I think the SL still has one but there are no big parties like gringos are used to in the states so forget that notion. Every year uninformed guys show up expecting a big celebration but there are none and most places are practically empty for a couple days, except for all the horny gringos standing around wishing they had a date.

New years eve is a big family holiday here. DR, KL, sportsmans all dead .

The sportmens had a party a few years ago that flopped.

The best idea for New years eve is to go to one of the many parties being held that night. The San Jose Palacio has a big event in the convention hall. Many other places have events also. Better to bring a date to these events but there are always singles around. Better if you speak some spanish and can dance a little.

Look in the entertainment area of the La Nacion the week leading up to NYE for times and places.

Depressing:

you guys are depressing the hell out of me:

I'm going to show up on the 30th and not get laid till the fourth. Well I guess I could call up my real estate agent and look at apartments for a few days. I guess I could just push the whole thing back till the fourth. One advantage of overpriced plane tickets. If I did that I would be at home not getting laid. I've just got to think it would be more fun to not get laid at the Del Rey than to go without at home. Of course I could always bribe Vegas Bob into loaning me his black book for a day or two.

I'm convincing myself that I have many more options in San Jose and I do at home. What to do what to do what to do.
