Of course. Some folks like a gringa like experience. Makes them feel at home. I will stick to the standard vet monger philosophy of walking away before she can get to the b in Colombia.

GETTING RID OF THE COLOMBIANAS IN CR ???

The only thing that might do is eventually start making many mongers make their first TRIP to Colombia. As far as your comment on improving service..... You have obviously been with the wrong Colombianas and YOU HAVE NEVER BEEN WITH A COLOMBIANA ON HER HOME TURF.........YOU WOULD FORGET THAT THE HDR AND BB EVEN EXISTED!!!!

Get rid of Colombianas, how terrible!! Then all there would be are the soft, pudgy Ticas without asses. Come on guys, let's be honest.. Ticas just don't match up to the Colombians, not even close. I admit that they are a little colder, but give me a Colombiana anyday. Just me, I'm visual and like hard bodies. And yes there are exceptions, but the Ticas generally remind me of the pillsbury doughboy, soft and mushy all over...

And what would be so bad if the only thing that might do is make many mongers travel to Colombia. If you guys like Colombianas so much why don't you just go to Colombia? You just said it yourself there is a difference in service between Colombianas in CR and Colombianas on their home turf. And there is obviously a difference in price.

I don't think anyone here is suggesting that Colombianas CAN'T be excellent providers. What they ARE saying is that they're the primary source of inflationary pressures in the HDR marketplace. And, beyond that, most (though not all) of the Colombianas that are in CR are very hardened mercenary on their approach to the business. I don't think they're at all representative of Colombianas as a whole. Why that is, I can't say. It could be something about the selection process of which Colombianas would choose to leave their homes in Colombia in pursuit of the big money in CR, or it could due to pressures that we are only tangentially aware of to pay off the coyotes that smuggle them into CR which changes them into what so many of us experience.

On that last point, I find the comment that one of them made explaining why they needed to charge as much as they do being about their costs to be totally disingenuous. I'm sure they have costs associated with sneaking into CR as well as costs of calling home and sending back their earnings, but what other costs could they have that the local ticos don't have themselves? How much could the coyote smugglers charge that would justify them having to ask 2.5 times more than what the MP's charge or so much more than what they themselves would charge back home in Colombia? And, if the smugglers really do take that large a pound of flesh for bringing them into CR, should we really be subsidizing those bloodsuckers? And, like VB said, if the costs of coming to CR are that high, why don't those girls just stay in Colombia. No, I'm sorry but this has very little to do with their costs and everything to do with what they can charge. As long as they can get away charging $100/hr there will be Colombianas that will be more than willing to pay practically any astronomical price to come to CR.

All that being said, I'm not so sure how sending home all the Colombianas at this point will make much difference. There has been speculation whether some of them have been using strongarm tactics and peer pressure to try and get all the rest of the chicas to stick to the Cien price point. It certainly is easier to get a chica to agree to less than cien if you agree not to advertise to the other chicas how little she is agreeing to. Getting the worst of the offenders out of the BM might help reduce that pressure, but I think a lot of the damage has already been done. The Colombianas have taught all the other chicas that they can get cien (at least sometimes or often from the constant flow of ignorant newbies) and once you've raised a price point it is very rare for it to go down. Also reducing the supply side of the equation while keeping the demand side high doesn't exactly work in favor of lowering prices either. OTOH, if all you Colombiana lovers also stuck to Colombia and really forgot the HDR and BB ever existed, demand would go down too, so that is probably a wash.

One last comment on the prostitute school, what the hell can they be teaching those chicas? Were they virgins when they came here? Shouldn't they already know how to Phuck? What are the classes? "How to give a good BBBJ - 101"?

Or is it more things like:
"How to insist on Cien por Hora - 102"
"When you have to make your installment payments to the "Trata de Blanca" and what will happen to you if you're late - 103"
"How to make the stupid gringo really believe you love him and think he's special - 201"
"Good stories to use in your emails on why they need to wire you money - 301"

Personally I think the puta school is a great idea. Whether its for phucking better, or speaking better english so they can make us feel more special in our own language...i think that is very respectible. Just on a macro level, I think it is rediculous that such an immoral country like CR (bribes (tainted cops), thievery, unfair trade, misrepresentation, etc) is trying to come down on the prostitution business. Its the pot calling the kettle black...but I guess thats just the way of the world.

Sorry Prolijo, but I KNOW it costs Colombianas more than Ticas to live and operate in Costa Rica...both financially and security wise. If I was them, I would want more for my better service/product also. As usual...YMMV
