I have NEVER understood how a guy could be in a bar FULL of beautiful women who will Phuck him senseless for a little money, but focus all of his attention on the few girls their he has the LEAST chance of phucking. I even hear about guys paying $300-$400 to Phuck some bartender. .

My wingman and I were sitting in a bar and he was just drolling over the bartender, he couldn't keep his eyes off of her. I asked him "Put her in a nice dress in the Del Ray, how much would you pay?" He finally said no more than $50.

I have seen exactly ONE bartender that I would pay cien to Phuck (which is saying a lot since I have never paid cien, except for a TLN twice). Most, I wouldn't move off of $60.

Jessica at the BM is a great bartender by any standards in any country. I would hire her in a minute. She knows how to control the bar.......a rare commodity in the business nowadays.

I agree 1000%, but some guys are stupid. Maybe they think it never happens and they'll be the first to take her home. It must be awkward when she's leaving and she has her hand out for the money. I have never even thought about trying to hook up with one of them, much less actually trying to. In all the times I've been there, I've probably seen 3-4 that are genuinely beautiful, the rest are average but think they are hot. And what's with guys going in there and just talk to their bartender friends?

I couldn't name one if my life depended on it.

Is this some type of class difference and/or just two distinct jobs in CR? It's not like they rotate from working the floor to a night behind the bar (like at Hooters! ha ha...) I guess some strip bars are like that in US also, the bartender doesn't dance.

It's not like most spots in asia where you have service girls, hostesses and dancers/bar girs or some mixture of them in most places where the service girls and hostesses are cheaper than the pros. you could say in CR it is the exact opposite.

Orange, not everyone that speaks, talks with, or who has developed a "friendship" over time with a bartender wants to phuck them and throws money at them every chance they get... propinas, gifts etc. I enjoy my time at the bar, but I know the game. I go to the DR for the women and not to see some phucker from Georgia (making a point... I love folks from Georgia). I don't require a wingman. I enjoy walking in after being gone as much as 5 months one time and having bartenders truely interested that I am "back" and know my face. Not because "it's all about the money", but because we have developed a friendship. They don't work me for tips, but they will work a fresh face for every last propina in his pocket. They are people too and enjoy the exchange between friends. They are also capitalists. Ask any sucker that has come under their spell. There are plenty of fools to go around.

The majority are not putas and won't phuck for any amount of money. They make a damn good living by Costa Rican standards and are not hard up for cash. Some will though, but you'll have to be pretty special and with a pocket full of $$$ in most cases. Some phuck for free under the right circumstances. A number of them have young, gringo novios. Those that do hook don't do it at the "drop of a hat" or your "pants" so to speak. Some are married and most have novios.

I do my phuckin' with the hookers. No one can phuck 24/7. SJO and the DR isn't just about blowing out the pipes for some. There's more to life... especially when your sitting in Cafe Mundo... eating, drinking, talking with a bartender amiga for hours on end... being there because she wants to... having nothing to do with money. Now that's a "real breath of fresh air in an oxygen starved atmosphere" such as the DR.

As far as who's "hot" and who's "not", beauty is and will always be in the eyes of the beholder. I look in the pic gallery and many times think to myself..... she must have had a great personality or you were really drunk fellow. To each their own.

I generally agree with all of the above. It is nice to have relationships the bar tenders, but I see no need to throw propinas at them. They get 10% off the top of everything that comes across the bar, which is a small fortune by Costa Rica standards.

The last thing that I would want to do is start phucking one of them. I have seen the results first hand of guys that get involved with those chicks. It is a tough position to put yourself in. It is not a pretty sight when one of those chicks turns against you. I was just sitting next to a guy that had been banging one of them and I got caught in the crossfire. Once you start banging one of them, it is a tough deal to go back to mongering out of the DR.
