3P, I would say that Vegas is not a good place to find a wife, looking around all I see is plenty of phucked up women.
Anyway, what I meant was that if you can't make it with a woman who speaks your own language, shares your culture and lives here already, then your chances with one who is very likely using you as a way to get a green card are less than zero. They're even trying to pull that SB on us Latino, and some do fall for it.
I see here that American women are being demonized and Latinas put on a pedestal, and I (a Latino) can say that's BS, Latinas are not better.

Your correct, Vegas is terrible for that, unless your willing to pay through the nose and other orifices. And I would have to agree with your take on the Latina set as well, at least in my experience. I do however, have to admit this gal from VZ was super smooth about it, until as you say, they got that big green.
I feel at this stage in life, feeling very comfortable and at least very much ease is a big plus, but it sure ain't love. That's more or less how I felt, plus she was not previously corrupted (I don't think) by the big city. I do have to at least admire how well she pulled it off with such a overly suspicious guy like me, but of course, ANYONE can be fooled, even if its not too often.
But not to worry again, I took lots of Advil and this is one headache that will not be anytime soon.

with only 8 months into the marriage... how is she allowed to stay in the states? i was under the impression that it takes a lot longer than that. is there any way to protect men from such deception? i understand her position but would at least expect a few years of "true love" in exchange for a green card.

is there any way she can get deported?
