This is typical CR Immigration BULLSHIT. Let me get this straight....They took 110 chicas into custody and "may deport 5". What the phuck were the other 97 detained for? I was told that they even took some born and raised Ticas to the police station and held them for a while. When I asked Greg (one of the owners of the DR) what happened the following night...he said that what they did was akin to KIDNAPPING. The whole raid was produced and directed by Canal 6 for your viewing pleasure.I wonder if they pay for the rights to the photos and film. If the immigration dept. and local police departments have the available manpower (about 100 total I am told) to pull off a raid like this to deport 5 chicas, WHY CAN'T THEY HAVE JUST 2 OF THEM STAY THERE ON CALLE 9 so the nightly muggers can't attack anyone?

I agree with Vegas Bob here. I think it was publicity more than anything. It is just a little too convenient to run this big expose then in an eyeblink we have a big raid with tons of pictures in the Nacion's online site. It's probably also a chance to shake down the chicas for bribes. Low danger, lots of publicity, bribe opportunity... slam dunk.
