I actually finally found a halfway decent on-line translator:

http://translation2.paralink.com/

For my phrase, they gave me the following:

¿Cómo puedo hacerlo hasta usted?

That's about right, isn't it?

NOPE!!!

You have brought up a very interesting subject indeed. Mostly because the Spanish language is spoken in many dialects and the meaning of words differs from one Latin country to another. In the same manner, translations can not (and will not) always be made verbatum.

Applying the Puerto Rican Spanish I learned fromk childhood, I could use one of the following phrases (I'm positive there are others):

¿Cómo puedo hacer amendas contigo?
or
¿Qué puedo hacer para que me perdones?

They would translate in English as "How can I make amends with you?"
or "What can I do for you to forgive me?"

It may not be perhaps what you are looking for but I'm sure the chica will understand what you mean to say.... mostly the implication that you know you ph*cked up and and you are willing to do anything in order not to lose her. :)

Let me know if I can help with any other translations.

I've used this one in the past....
"I promise not to blow my splooge in your hair, especially since this is a nice restaurant". Prometo no volar mi leche en tu pelo, especialmente desde que éste es un restaurante bueno.

You mean to tell me you didn't try to tell her it was as good as hair mousse!!

Thanks for the laugh!!!   [/quote]

Just leave it to the CRT peanut gallery to provide so much unnecessary commentary. Your subject of your question carries a lot of merit and it should be therefore respected... but other than NOT engcouraging them, what are we going to with these guys?
