If you intend to distribute you had better be in compliance with U.S.C. section 18, 2257. 28 C.F.R. 28 too...

Releases are a must. 2 forms of ID and a signature that matches the ID. When and where it was shot (location, dates, times).

I have a little experience in the field. By no means an expert or a legal advisor. I am about to get back into a little more as soon as I find a web master thats not going to rob me. PM me if you need any info. YOU MUST keep records if you intend to distribute or copy! Even if you put up free sites with the video, cover your ass!

I think you and he are making this way too complex. Why don't you also mention the HIV tests that producers require from those appearing in their videos as part of the industry's voluntary efforts to spread the flow of that disease in their community? He did say "for personal use" right in the very title of the thread. That suggests to me that distribution is the last thing on his mind. I could be wrong but I'm guessing, unless he plans to wear a mask or do some artful selection of shots, he probably doesn't want his own face plastered across the internet.
