Its only because Nov Dec and Jan always sell out for the airlines, so the pricing airline curve goes the opposite way than it typically does the rest of the year. On average they will not let a seat go for less than 700bucks in Nov Dec Jan (holiday season) because they know they can sell it for that eventually..... especially if you have a connecting domestic flight that has high holiday demand. And if you wait closer in it will NOT be cheaper this time of year.
