This maybe your answer?

Sorry captain, for what you have gone through. Considering the circumsatnces, i might add, you carried yourself with fortitude, something i do lack.
You do bring about some important analysis to the situation. These days, you need to be a gold hunter (sifting with a pan by the river) to clear the clutter. Some people live for this board and try to contribute in a meaningless way either 1. to get their post count up. Or,2 . To appear important.

PS I don't see it like this too me I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinion. MG posts are upbeat & positive with some good info & not negative, petty & cranky like some?? But then again I am posting this to run up my post count to feel oh so important.      WHY DO WE HAVE TO SPLIT ASS HAIRS AROUND HERE????

Thanks Zippy. I thought so, but there are some who (obviously) disagree with you. Then again....what the hell do I know. I'm brand new to this mongering game! Plus, I've been trying to up my post count, so I can win that brand new set of steak knives! And, oh yeah...I feel REAL Impotent! I guess some people are just miserable, by nature. But I digress. I might take a step back for a while....

i started it so i guess i will finish it. it was an honest mistake. i read a post wrong and was actually trying to stick up for mucho. i think i cleared it in pm's, so as not to clog up the boards ( even though i could've used the upgrade with more postings)
Anyhow, i believe mucho and i are cool, and tried to do it without the forum's consent

Vegas Bob, i did not lie to my novia. i told her where i was going and why. to meet you and other crt bros. no lie there. i wasn't really interested in meeting chicas. i know many already and they will tell you i don't take chicas out i just like to drink and talk.

hopefully i can meet you sometime. it's happy hour at the DR and i'm in my room waiting to meet with DR management later.

For those curious... TP is Mexican American. He rattles fluently with these chicas, which can help. But, in actuality, it may be a source of his drama. The more spanish I learn... the more friggin' dramatic and crazy these chicas seem. Completely illogical in many cases. Yes - they are there to use US as much as we are there to use THEM.

TP - we've shared drinks in the states. I hope you are down there tomorrow to catch up on events.

IMHO... you just need to slow-down on drinks down there and take it all in. You, yourself admit that you pretty much drink all day.. don't eat and don't sleep. Dude - this is why you are burnt out. Take a day off and do something different. But, dont give up.

I've been to CR 12 times in about 13 months. Lately, its a trip every three weeks. The customs people recognize me now and usually give me a little welcome back smile. However, my trips are becoming less of a party until you die thing... and more just about chilling out... and escaping all of the obstacles in America. Instead of drinking all day at the DR or the SL... I try to escape that bullshit and hang at the pool with my Novia. I also take a break and go to the multi-spa gym in El Centro to sweat it out. You will see many fine chicas at the gym.... I promise. I think I even saw a working girl from the DR doing a spinning class. Gave her a smile... she gave me one back.

Too much of a good thing (or bad thing) is always bad. Chill dude... and you will have a better time.

I've always said this is a double edged sword. For a gringo I'm pretty damn good with Spanish. After awhile it dawns on you that being able to communicate efficiently only draws you in further to the drama etc.. Many give the advice to "learn more Spanish before you go." I totally understand that thinking but, sometimes IGNORANCE IS BLISS. I think you can garner more attention from the chicas by being able to communicate efficiently but, as always, be careful.

Dapanz makes a good point. Very limited Spanish on my part, very limited English on the chicas's part and all the sign language in between makes for difficult requests for money via Email and telephone. I'm sure I have been with chicas that would have contacted me for money back home, but due to the limited ways to communicate, they don't even ask for phone number or Email address.

I just use selective hearing. It is always an advantage to understand what is going on around us & upto us to use communtication to get more not less for our own benefit. If one lets themself be drawn into all the lies & BS, well that is just being a sucker too me.

Zebra, it might be a surprise to you, but most of the time they don't ask for it. If they have to ask, it means that you're not interested. In the other hand, if somebody give them his email/phone number, it means that he is very interested (read: a better than average RFM candidate!). Sometimes we even buy them cell phones. You know puppies in love need to keep in touch!
