Welcome home Handy.
It'll be great to have you back here in Saudi-Alberta, the land of black liquid gold.
Things are absolutely nuts with the price of oil so there should be no problem finding premium employment. Though the cost of living is escalating almost as fast as salaries are increasing.
If you ever wander down to Southern Alberta, give me a shout. But certainly provide details where you are at (I am presuming Edmonton), I make it that way at least a couple times a year.

As much as it bites it is an exciting opportunity. It is a good time in the market all around and I have a gig thru the end of May ... btw any folks who have experience with afilliates internet marketing please pm me.

Also ... I'll be busting my lease here and selling off the handy pad .. any folks moving here give me a buzz. We can sell peicemeal but prefer to do what I did when I moved here ,... buy the whole lot.

Heck if you wanted to sublease thru the end of Aug, and buy the furniture .. you could assume my taxi duties driving VB to pricemart :)

Good luck Handy, I hope all goes well.

I had a great time hanging with you and A last Feb.
Your place is great, too bad you have to sell it.

Handy-man,
Best of luck to you in that icebox. You'll need to buy good thermal socks.

If indeed Edmonton is your next town, it will be tough to remain an M-Man. I just got back from over 2 yrs there. It is very, very cold (although this winter was kind of mild). There are a very limited amount of Latinas (there is a club downtown, but it is shared by the Latinas and the very limited black and Indian population). Strip joints, run strictly by Hell's Angels, are terrible (you throw loonies for tips and no touching).

Everyone is employed - but housing is hard to find and overpriced (although cheap for the boomtown that it is). Traffic is brutal (because they don't have freeways).

Handys's tale has been interesting to follow. He seems lately to be getting tired of the scene. What a journey thus far. But not as exciting to follow lately.

His marriage will be tested if he settles in Edm - hell, US gringas that I met have a hard adjustment (let alone a Colombian). And any hankering for Latina action is tough to satisfy - while they are there (esp at a club in Downtown Calgary) they are not as friendly.

I predict many trips down south. Unfortunately, the Edm airport and Continental had a dispute, so you have to go Calgary to get a plane to Houston down to Latina land.

Good luck - and keep up the saga......

Based on above posts...I predict...Handy will be back 8) . Good luck bud. At least it sounds like you'll be moving during summer season and not immediately subjected to that LOOONGGG winter.

Stay in touch.

PS. You might want to keep an eye on Tech jobs in colombia. There seems to be development there in the sector...and A might end up wanting to go back there soon. Colombia, fastest growing economy in South America.

Based on the above post... (by Hocu), I predict... Handy will NEVER see his old amigos Paco and Latinoheat in this lifetime again if he stays in Canada. :D
You can always live vicariously through CRT for the next 50 years Handy! :P

PREDICT????? Shit, I can guarantee that statement!! :x

I know I would be scratching, clawing, and exhausting all options to keep my ass in CR and as a second destination Colombia/Panama before even thinking about heading back to the deep freeze. This should be interesting to see how this turns out.

LH you said they were hiring where you work and you have that spare bedroom full of your dirty laundy and old porn collection. Let him & the family move in, he can ride to work with you every day and you'll have the satisfaction of saving them from freezing to death next winter, what kind of friend are you anyway?

Well.....that's damn good news. A year ago I made my first trip to SJO (6 trips under the belt now) and you were one of the very first, if not the first person I met from CRT. I think I have seen you on every trip I have taken. Glad you may be around a while longer even if seeing you reminds me of Mrs. Handy #2 or is it #3 that ripped out my heart and left me to bleeed to death. LOL!.....LOL!.....LOL!

Berk......

Handy

Although I never got to meet you, I would like you to know that I have appreciated all the assistance, advice, and words of wisdom you have provide me as well as the rest of the CRT brotherhood.

Have a good trip, and please don't be a stranger...

Best wishes
Muffdiver
