I had a bad experience with him. I'm not the only one down here that is in this category. However, I have a family and a job and LOTs of responsibility. I have too much on my mind to really give shit about him. I have written him off. I'm also not going to publicly post anything about my experience. If you see me in person and I trust you, I can provide some perspective. However, not on here....

I'm one of the few in CR - that actually walk a line - that is straight. I learned early that there are many bad apples that congregate down here. When you find one - you put distance between yourself and that person. Unless you ARE a bad apple, I recommend following that rule down here without exception.

The comment about a golden statue - actually made me chuckle and then almost vomit at the thought.

Plus 2- my point exactly. I am not one here here who believes in kissing ass to any in-crowd. If there is evidence against someone, I want to hear it. Hell, if Boyd was at fault in some significant way, I would love to be able to have another place (the Dunn in) to give my business to. But you have presented nothing. At this point, it is just blowing smoke. And ChiTrekker, you have a repuation for violence and blaming others for your own mistakes (i.e. fighting with Ticos and your wonderful post about why your business venture where you are the brilliant one, and oh how horrible it is that those idiot Ticos don't know what they are doing.. ).

I met and chatted with Bk during my stay at the Dunn. He is a regular guy tryin to get laid like everyone else. Everyone I met at the Dunn was a CRT member and very friendly. I will book my accomodations through Boyd on my next trip.

enough is enough. i want to hear updates on Boyd. Is he managing ZB? Has the scene there improved since the cops brought it down a couple of months ago. I like the rooms I visited HLH, but the thought of having the cops come in at any time and bust the place was so unapealling that I didn't seriously think about staying there. On Feb. 12, all of our haunts were full up, so I ended up staying at the Hemmingway. It was cheap.................and spartan.

Saw Boyd yesterday and he says all is going very well with him and HLH not to mention life in general. He was in fine form, meeting guys, showing rooms and bragging on the new girl, Brandi who is indeed very NICE. The feel in the bar area yesterday seemed to be returning to the type of banter/fun we used to see in the old ZB days and was really good to see/feel the old atmosphere creeping back in.
