This isn’t a rumor. Google it. I can’t imagine that this would be good for their business or reputation, especially considering hotel staff tried to prevent police from entering.

This happens every so often in CR, especially at the HDR. I hope the staff involved will be exonerated.
It would be interesting to have a body count tally over the years. I feel sorry for the poor guy and his family.

I believe you....but it’s awfully shady that the staff tried to prevent the cops from entering. Then again, maybe that’s not an unusual thing down there.

I think, as someone else said on the board, they were trying to clean the scene first to avoid problems, but it backfired.

Or maybe they were worried that the police might uncover a completely different illegal activity?

You hope the people who were trying to cover up a death and not have it investigated will be exonerated? I hope you used the wrong verb, and that is really not what you hope.

Three years in prison is too harsh, but they need to be punished in some form, either financially or incarceration. The hotel manager who was on duty should receive the harshest punishment because she probably instructed the security staff to act as they did.

Sorry but they deserve every bit of 3 years in prison. For Christs sake, there is a dead body and the police should have access without any issues. The room should have had a security guard posted at the door so no one entered until the police arrived. Try that shit in the US and you will have serious problems as well. With that sort of behavior, I would think they had some sort of hand in the demise of the person or were working to prevent something else from being discovered. Stupid on the security guards part to even try and stop the police.

If he had lost $30,000 gambling and it was at the HDR where he lost it, they were probably trying to cover up the way they cheated him out of the money

Where does it say he lost $30,000?

It says it was a suicide with several suicide notes.

Some are committing slow suicide with the bug juice and girls. And losing plenty of cash in the process.
