To dispell all the rumors out there the Hotel Mona Lisa is still open and going strong. People have been saying we are sold or going to be sold, not true. Everything here is still the same as always. If anything changes I will be sure and let everyone know. But even if we were sold nothing would change. We would still be girl friendly and still welcoming our CRT brothers with your 10 % discount on rooms, food and drinks and other specials. By the way, we still have a few standard and Deluxe rooms left for Super Bowl. If you need a room or know someone that does email me at guy.grand@yahoo.com or call 800 452-6942 or Guy Grand at 506 8588-8333 cell phone and I will be glad to help you.
Also want to thank all my brothers for your support and kind words on the boards. It's must appreciated. If you are staying with us in the future or somewhere else please feel free to stop by the hotel and say hola. My office is always open and I'm always happy to say hi and visit with a CRT brother. Thanks again for your support. Guy Director of Guest Services Hotel Mona Lisa

Does that include thefts from room safes? IMO, you or someone in management should address this to CRT membership, if you value our business. The silence from ML management about this issue has been deafening. If this did not happen say so. If it did happen what is going to change?

Health & happiness.....

I did answer this before on the CRT board. We have signs all over the hotel saying use the safe at your own risk. or use the Casino bank safe, which you bring your money and sign a slip and they keep it in the bank safe in the casino. This is 100 % guaranteed in the casino safe. IN the rooms , the problem is the same as when I worked in the Dunn Inn Hotel. Guy's bring girls back to the room. Guys get drunk. They get over excited and they get stupid. They pass out. They leave the girl alone in the room and go downstairs and get ice. They go take a shower and leave the girl alone in the room with their pants , money , safe key , etc. You can't imagine the silly things the guys do and not watch the girl they are with. The girls are smart and know every way possible to steal your money. Having said that, we can't be responsible for what happens in the rooms. guys say they were robbed because they are embarrassed when they lose money and want to blame someone. It's hard to know for sure what really happened in the room. I highly recommend the guests put their money in the casino safe and we personally guarantee every penny. I hope this helps .. Thanks, Guy

Guy, do you want us to believe that guys only do those things when they are staying at the Mona Lisa? There haven't been any reports in this forum of belongings missing from the safes in any other hotel.

Aren't the safes in the Mona Lisa electronic safes, with no key given to the customer?

I stayed at the Dunn Inn many times before your time there. I never heard of anyone reporting anything missing from the safes.

If management will not acknowledge there is a problem, then the problem will never be solved.

no, thats the wrong answer
you obviously have cameras all over the hotel and can easily see who is going in and out of rooms on a given day/night
why is this never a problem w SL/LA/Z2 etc?
its because the ownership cares enough to monitor it and if they knew a problem existed the list of potential thieves would quickly be narrowed down and someone would get a foot in their ass on the way out the door
placing the blame on drunk stupid customers is really a lame ass answer
a seasoned traveler like scuba bum isn't making rookie mistakes like that and blaming him or any of the others who have lost money and valuables in your hotel is wrong on so many levels
why anyone would ever stay in this hotel after that response is beyond me

Those safes are breached by removing the little plate on the front. Someone with a little knowledge and an electronic device is able to open the safe bypassing the code. When they reverse the process the safe locks retaining the original code. I submit that Guy knows this and is a liar.

In the last 2 years I have 23 weeks at the Mona Lisa (monthly trip). Have not lost a thing and have not myself met anyone who has lost anything. I was there the week the water heater was on the blink and for that matter the week the AC was out. A few guests checked out and that was fair though I chose to stick it out. My "personal opinion", the Mona Lisa is great the prices the customer service and the quality of the hotel and the employees. See you on Friday Guy and I will be arriving with no apprehension about the security of my money or property. Just to be clear I also think the Sportsmans, La Amistad and most of the other popular venues are great, I just prefer the quiet rooms the ML provides.

Some of you guys are rude!
Guy makes a post gets attacked and called a liar.
Then you ask why he does not post.
Get a life! You let a chica rip you off and now you want to blame the
hotel. I have an idea. Don't stay there!
Post what you want about the hotel but to call Guy a liar is crossing the line.

I think if you re-read Sir Guys post (this time for comprehension) you'll see that he's basically calling the folks who were ripped off liars. So, who's really being rude?

I for one, never called him a liar. I mentioned that I had not seen a post from the ML in response to the theft allegations. He said he had previously made one. O.K., I guess I missed that. There has been much written about what a good guy he is, and it is probably true, I have personally never met him.

He then went on for eleven sentences blasting the men staying at his hotel who are out of control, and rightfully states that the ML cannot be responsible for what happens in the room.

He then writes, "It's hard to know for sure what really happened in the room". If this is a truth, why spend eleven sentences berating men who are his customers, if he did not know what happened in the room? If he had just written this sentence and assured me that the ML was concerned about thefts, I would have bought that.

His response, IMO was "Muy Tico".

Health & happiness to all.......

I have mentioned this before on a long post about the safes. I have no proof either way. I'm trying to write to address this but I've never been brought in the loop about it. It's the GM and the security of the hotel that deals with it. But I will say everyone complaining about being robbed was always in the evening late at night. The GM fired all the night security, maintenance, and front reception people working at the hotel about 4 months ago. I personally haven't heard about any problems since the firing. I'm the only one a member of CRT and I'm trying to write something but it really should be addressed by someone that knows more about what's really going on. I'm just repeating what my boss keeps telling me. I wish I could be more helpful. I'm not the security , or GM, or Manager. I take bookings and help the guests around the town find things. I would say anyone really interested come in and talk to the GM or Manager of the hotel. Neither are members of CRT. Thanks, Guy

Thanks for defending me. I'm doing my best to answer these questions but I just don't know all the answers. I'm here everyday at the hotel till 9pm working and have little time to be on the CRT computer answering everyone's questions. It seems to me 95 % of all the guys are very nice but a few just seem to want to stir problems up. Any one that wants is invited to come to the Mona Lisa Hotel and talk to my bosses. They are more than happy to answer any questions. Thanks again, Guy
