I am just curious what everyone uses as a cover story when coming down to CR to monger. Normally, there is a rather "eclectic crowd" that journeys south to Costa Rica; you know, the LLBean/Banana Republic vests, cargo pants, sun hats, lots of tie dyes and grey hair in ponytails. I was just wondering in a general sense what kind of experiences some of you have when headed there with your seat mates. I normally will have either a couple of dinosaur hippies or young, no nothing, newly married couples sitting next to me. Once and a while, there will be two young chicks, which normally will make the trip a little more pleasant, if they are cool, but I am careful not to share to much info about where I am staying or doing. After one particularly strange encounter, I take to loading the IPod with movies, strapping on the noise cancelling headphones and tuning out the seat mates as much as possible. Any thoughts, one way or another about chatting up the seat mates?
