Don't do it. Easter is another one to avoid.

Having lived her for a few of them, Christmas can be a great time in CR. Yes, there are far fewer girls...but there are far fewer guys as well and how many girls are you looking for, really? I have never heard a monger say that there just isn't enough bahina in San Jose, regardless of time of year.

If anything should, shouldn't holidays and times of year be a sticky by this point in time?

I believe I made a similar suggestion about Brother ID's listing of holidays. It went nowhere. He posts early in January, as a service to all of us. Here's for 2010 (I "Searched" for Easter--"Searching" more obscure holidays would make the list easier to find):

Bottom line: If it's just for the Chicas AND that's the only time you have, come on down. If it's also camaraderie of the Brotherhood and/or other discretionary pleasures you are seeking (whitewater rafting, etc.), your choices will be limited.

If you head down during Christmas and Easter it will be quiet as most of the chicas go home and spend time with their families. When I lived there I enjoyed it, because as I do here, like the holidays. Life slows down and you get to spend time with friends, family and loved ones. It's up to you but if you want to party and get the real mongering experience pick another time.

I did 2 trips after x-mas (usually Dec 27 - January 1). The place is usually active up until 9 pm on New Years Eve (Days before I had a great time and usual places were packed). At around 9 pm on New Years Eve, the Del Rey because a ghost town (only horney mongers walking around trying to find anything at that time - really a funny scene to see the look on the guys faces - especially mine - knowing that there's nothing left).

One year I stayed at the Hotel M for New Years Eve and the party was GREAT. I don't know if they are planning anything this year.

One year 2005 going into 2006 (I believe) was dead after 9 pm at the Del Rey and other places. Most notably though was the fact that there was one guy (a current resident of CR who was on his maiden trip to CR). He had the two hottest chicas on his arms on New Years Eve. He was the envy of all of us who were left trolling around the Del Rey and Key Largo searching for anything that moves. I shared this story with him over a drink at HLH on Memorial Day and stated to him that I know why "He probably would never go back home."

He could probably give you more details.

Sosua is the same way during that week. I was thinking about hitting Cartagena during that week, but I'm realizing the best location during that time might be Asia.

Yeah, been there for 2 Sermana Santas and a Xmas/NYD holidays. The worst for me was Holy Week as we had gfs with us, but there are serious drawbacks. like everything being closed. I would say that after NYD, things pick up and get more or less back to normal. :D
