I didn't actually watch the report, just saw a teaser earlier in the day.

6:30pm Eastern time, Network news, Diane Sawyer reporting.
It took 4 minutes, which is forever, on tv.

It was not a good report. They went undercover at trade shows that were promoting fishing tours to Central and South America. Costa Rica and Amazon specifically. Expose started by a rival fishing company that dropped a dime on his competition.

more people are traveling so thats why this is happening. these destinations have always been around. people need to stop trying to control everyone.

When anyone raises this issue with me, my standard response is always as such.

There are women available for that sort of thing all over Central America. Oh, yes, in South America too. And all over the Caribbean. So does that mean that every man that goes down there for fishing or any other reason is going down for sex? Hmmmmm?

Makes them shut up really quick.

My concern would be more hassles with US Customs, on returning.
They are definitely politcal in their enforcement choices.

When that issue is raised with me, my standard response is.........IF I was interested in that type of thing, why would I travel 5,000 miles to and from there to get it when it is available right here.

Now I take the path of least resistance.......I don't tell anyone that I am going to CR. I am on a business trip, hiking trip, fishing trip. Just call and leave a message on my cell phone and if it is important, I will call you back or I'll call you upon my return.

Yeah, one of my regular CR fishing buddies watched the show with his wife. He came into work today and told me his wife had a lot of questions about our fishing trips. BTW, they are in their 70s.

I use to tell US customes I was down in wherever on business and most times I get the red line, full inspection. Now it's I just needed a break from work, vacation/relaxation etc. and green or yellow. Is it a crime to travel outside US? Some agents are cool some are real AHs. Some may just be real AHs bc they know what we do and they themselves wish they could go but they already have hot latin wifes and GFs in US + tons of Babi*s they made so efffff em big time their wads spent many times over already!!!!!!!
