Yeah, I'm bored today. :oops: But I just checked, and our membership is quickly closing in on the 10,000 mark. As of this morning, we're up to 9,978 members.

Anyone care to guess the date (and time) of member number 10,000? I'll gladly buy a drink (or three) for the person who comes closest.

I'll start:

My official guess is Friday, March 2, 2007 at 5:38 p.m.

The Amazing Psycho...er, Psychic Ciego here, with the accurate prognostication:

Monday, March 5th at 2:45 a.m. or just before. The 10,000th member will be from the western U.S. and will join almost immediately as a V.I.P.

The 10,000th member can be described as follows: He will be a man in his late 30's to early 40's, Caucasian and divorced. He will love sex with hot Latinas twenty years his junior. He will be middle class, have a good job which allows him to travel, and will fit right in with the rest of us.

at 9999 I'm going to do a system wide security update to eliminate non active posters, those members how have never VALIDATED EMAIL ADDRESSES it does not eliminate zero posters only the phantom member..

That should put a crimp in the #'s.. :twisted: :lol: :twisted: :lol: :twisted:

I'm boored TOO!

NOW BK you should not be boored go to ZB and get laid.. we should all have those problems.

Well that just threw out my totally accurate time line :roll: . I had it calculated perfectly :shock: but will now have to wait until we see the new corrected total Admin promises so I may crunch the new numbers. :evil:

Forget crunching numbers, Irish. You cannot compete against a true psychic. :P :lol:
I'm sticking to my prediction, regardless of what Admin 1 does to the membership rolls. BTW, I think it's a great idea to purge the system and get rid of old, non-verified members.

As of 11:22 AM CST the official figure was 9992. Only 8 short of 10000. Given the other wags bt MG, BK and ElC i would say I am the closest.

This contest is over ID since there will be no 10,000th member today- If we understand Admin1 is correctly then at 9,999 the security update will eliminate the hundreds (or thousands) of non-members with invalid email addresses. In fact it may be working already since I noticed 9,992 a couple hrs. ago then it went down to 9,991 so I'm guessing that new member didn't have a valid email so the counter subtracted him. :?:
So if the contest is indeed for the 10,000th registered member my calculations show it will be Oct. 30th 2008 at 10:52 AM and I will win those 3 soda-pops frim MG. :)
