anyone been there during semana santa. I got a trip planned for Apr 14 through the 18th and I'm wondering if I should change my plans or go through with it anyway.

I know there's no alcohol until that Saturday and that doesn't bother me. I'm more worried about availability of chicas and whether the massage parlors and strip clubs will be open.

thanks

Yes, massage places will be closed and chicas visit family. Monday and Tuesday should be OK. It is a bad time. I suffered thru it once. :(

thanks for the reply Ace. I'm thinking of going for it anyway. mostly because it's the only time off I'll have until October and I'm thinking there will still be a little something for me to enjoy there anyway.

but if I may change my mind if it looks totally bleak during those four days.

It is about as bleak as it gets. If you are going to be at the beach, it will be crazy but a lot of people. If you are going to be in San Jose, you are wasting money. Everything closed and all the people there will go to the beach.

For what you are probably interested in,it doesn't get any worse. In fact the Monday after easter is also a Holiday. I have chosen those dates to satisfy my Visa requirements and am going to the States to visit family for 6 days. That week at the Del Rey is like every day is Christmas with the chicas gone to visit family. Sorry for the bad news, but if it is the ONLY time you can be here, remember that it only takes one nice chica to make you happy.
