How the hell do they manage to keep their heads up, along with a beautiful smile on their face? I will never know.
Something else I just wish we could get this infectious smile that the Ticas have back in the USA. Even a fat Gringa is much prettier with a smile than the frown so many have as life here somehow makes them feel as though they have been phucked over & super sized when in reality they have not been phucked that much at all. It just seems so hard these days for Americans to be happy & enjoy the fact that we are alive. So many are so serious, non trusting & just plain unhappy in the land of plenty what gives??? & these poorer people with serious problems are happier?? This is where the Ticos & Ticas have taught me so much in life & that is how too be happier with less!

Learning to be at peace with yourself is so hard to do after growing up in the material world.
As I look at our recent history in the USA somewhere we have taken a wrong turn too me. The hippy movement was a little before my time but what I see I like better than now. It was maybe a false dream but people seemed to be into the Love & Peace thing more & live & let live. It appears to be a time when people became very creative with music that carried into the 80's & 90's.
Now we seem to be practiced at the art of deception & distortions (spin city) with negatives all about including the music. No one is responsible for their own actions & the blame game is all to much of a current reality.
I think music & dance helps the ticos immensely as well & the countries I have been in that this form of creativity was restricted or denied really left people in a zombie like depressed state. Music is a very powerful force from what I have seen in my life whether good or bad & of course religion is another even more powerful force just look at the Middle East!
But maybe I am all wrong & just my delusional thinking?
