He must be a Caucasian in a well-to-do part of Los Angeles, with no experience of being hassled at the random stops that the Los Angeles police conduct outside of some of the area nightspots under the excuse of checking for drunk drivers. The LA police are notorious for widespread profiling, and good luck if you are Hispanic or Afro-American… Ok so they don’t ask for $50, they just question your reason for being in that part of town or make you prove that you’re a citizen if you’re Hispanic.
I’m a middle aged Caucasian from out of town and have experienced this more than once…
Am I missing something? How have you experienced being Hispanic or Afro-American?
I agree that he is probably well-to-do and he probably breast feed longer than his peers as well, but who knows his ethnic background?
FACT: To police without profiling is a myth, if profiling wasn't a part of policing, lots of crimes would go unsolved and lots wouldn't be prevented. Only politicians pretend as if policing doesn't involve profiling, the rest of us know otherwise and yes they even profile white people. An example would be when they find white people in bad neighborhoods - WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE, DO YOU LIVE HERE? Profiling goes BOTH ways. I'm a little sensitive to this - was a cop at one junction.

Monopolies??? How about that firm up in Redmond Washington (Microsoft) that was a monopoly for many years (and still is to a certain extent)? Micro$oft sucks!
Yea! Someone that hate MS as much as I do... evil clad up there. They aren't innovators, they are theives.
I believe the immigration police were in Jaco, but I don't believe they are looking for Americans, taking Americans to jail or asking for their passport. Once they hear us speak, they know where we are from and they know we can take or leave CR so this just doesn't make sense to me.
He sure hasn't traveled much at all... this is most obvious.
Maybe this guy isn't for real and someone is using the story to get the roads fixed?
