Let me try and field your loaded questions this way: 9 years in the Army, the last six years as an officer in Panama and in a Special Ops unit out of Bragg that deployed to Costa Rica, Panama, Honduras, El Salvador. My last assignment was leading a team of Special Forces and MPs training Salvadoran MPs. After that, 5 years as a security specialist, again in Latin America, investigating Intellectual Property counterfeiting. Do I speak the language? Six months in emersion Spanish Class, 2 Spanish refreshers taught at Bingham Young University and 15 years experience speaking it. So, do I believe that I have a relatively high level of experience in Latin America?

Yes, I have worked in about every Latin American nation with the acceptation of Nicaragua. Have I mongered? Yes, in just about every county I visited and I dated lots of regular women in my travels.
So, forgive me if I believe that I can speak from a certain depth of experience about Latin America in general and Professional versus non-professional Latinas in particular.

Have I every been married? No. Draw whatever inference to want from that, most people do. I dated several Latinas seriously while I was down there, had lots of opportunities and thought I would be 29 forever. I regret that I didn't marry the doctor and there was a certain lawyer in Bogotá and a great gal in Panama City. All of them wanted to get married, but I was of the deluded notion that there was something better in the States.

If I sound sarcastic and continually bring up dating regular Latinas, it is because not only is it easy to do, (which it is), it should be encouraged for the guys looking for better longer term relationships in Costa Rica.

I read lots of posts of guys who I feel based on my experience, are being played in one form or another by girls from one of the adult amusement parks. I am simply trying to point out that doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results is the definition of insanity and I use the example of dating 3 regular Ticas while I was down there as evidence that normally regular Ticas don't make a habit of hitting up their Gringo boyfriends for money.

If a monger really wants a real relationship with a regular Tica, they are going to have to roll up their sleeves and get to work. Learn Spanish, stop hanging around the Gulch and get regular Tica and Tico friends (as they have sisters and cousins).

I think that I have seen a lot in Latin America and played with both good Senoritas and bad ones. The bad ones can be more fun, but I would never delude myself into thinking that it was anything more than a fun time P4P.

When I was working on the Penisula de Osa with Task Force Caminos De La Paz, all the liaison officers had Tica girlfriends. One of the guys was dating a professional and I was dating the bartender and the doctor. Two weeks after I was back at Bragg, the working girl called my house looking for the guy that she was dating(I never did find out what she wanted, but I suspect it was around $300 dollars).

In my posts, I may come off with a sarcastic tone and I apologize for that, but it is because I have seen it all before; I hear a lot of guys on the board that are trying to make a bad girl into a good one and it just ain't going to happen. BTW, I get sufficient tail in the states; however it is a lot more fun getting it in Latin America.
