Fortunately, the CRT Site does not have a section for "Book Reviews," but begging your indulgences: I just finished a novel that reads as if it were written by a fellow monger. For your next flight to SJO, I recommend "The Living Room of the Dead" by Eric Stone.
The action takes place in Asia, but it's clear that the main character (a thinly-disguised version of the author) relates to the women we meet in CR much the way many of us do. Parts of the book actually read like CRT posts from Macau amd Hong Kong (such as an observation about why one should never run a tab in a Wan Chai Hostess Bar). Most important, the story line develops because of the main character's affection for and complex relationships with a couple of Russian prostitutes working in Macau.
It's a brisk, basic mystery, with real appreciation shown for the women in the world of P4P as people. Ultimately, our monger is a man of honor, which at least gives me something to aspire to.
Have fun.
