It really pays to avoid the 11AM to 3PM window.

For example, today there were approximately 28 international flights scheduled to arrive between 11 AM and 3PM, many of them incoming widebodies from Europe as well as the US and Canada.

And of course the Tico immigration officers go to lunch!

That's when you get the 60+ minutes immigration lines.

And if enough flights are late, then you get the nightmare 1200 passenger scenario.

Maybe when CR immigration takes this seriously, I will book another trip. Until then there are plenty of other mongering spots where immigration has their act together. Best of luck to you all. H1

Didn't you book multiple trips and not make any of them? Don't count on CR, or any other destination on "God's green earth", to change to meet your expectations. The only EZ Solution involves Pornhub and a big bottle of Lubriderm.
