When you depart the US, you are not checked against a list of people that are on probation and such. Only people that have a notice attached to their passports are flagged. Many times convicted felons are left with passports that are not flagged, and they can exit without issue. I had a friend in that situation that went on a cruise out of Miami for several days. He entered a few of the island countries without a problem, but when he arrived back to the port, he was arrested at immigration for violating his probation. (In his defense, he *was* allowed to travel throughout the state, but had to alert his PO if he visited another. I suppose he thought the Carib was an extension of Florida!!).
