I kinda enjoy the game that is played at BM hundreds of times a nite...I get to chat them up, observe their eye contact, body language, and have them in MY environment on MY terms. Not the other way around. And I can dictate what we do for the gift they receive.

Having said that, in MX I had drama from nearly every bargirl at one time or another, and none from the MP girls, one of which is my favorita. What I DON'T like about MP girls is the staged "rico" and the rush to get it overwith, in general (mi favorita being the exception to this).

I am positive my first trip to CR was charmed beyond belief, and prolly waaaay outside of the usual.
OR, I could just be the smoothest thing CR has ever seen....

For me .. heading our to El Pueblo or Vertigo or Touch ... or heck even a few"dates" I have had are SOOOOOOOOOOO much better cause I know after they end .. I can pop back to the DR and get desert.

Now that I have actually stayed somewhere else other than Del Rey to SLEEP on my most recent trip, this post is even more of a fact with me. Even in terms of hotel stay, I have seen the light even brighter now...

Getting ourselves OUT of the Del Rey also shows us so much better value on all other things. Food prices for instance. The DR food menu looks reasonable to all of us upon initial inspection. $7.95 seems fine for a sandwich, until we discover the normal price for the same thing is $3.95. I'll also have to admit to the bad habit of Marlboro lights. $3.50 at the DR. $1.50 down the street. Of course, the list goes on and on. Its good that more of us are getting out & about more. The DR serves a good purpose for those on their initial trip; one stop shopping, and relative safety and simplicity. Having spent some hours in the past years talking to Big John, Greg, etc. its obvious that their target market is the tourist who only comes occasionally and doesn't pay much attention to value. Its always hard for me to bite my tongue in there when I see the "fishermen" forking over the cien without even thinking about negotiation.
