For those of you who have achieved residency status: What exactly is a pension fund as it applies to residency status here in CR?

For those of you who are lawyers and financial planners-- Does anyone think that creative entity structure could be used to create a "pension fund" that would allow one to qualify for residency?

Rolex,
The usual pension vehicle used by expats is social security. A private company pension fund can also be used but as I remember requires 5 year of the companies financial reports.

For accurate up to date information would suggest you contact the Association of Residents of Costa Rica (ARCR) at Avenida 4, Calle 40, Casa Canada Building. 233-8068, www.arcr.net, email arcr@casacanada.net. Or an attorney familiar with immigration requirements.
