Gentlemen -

CRT is currently researching an upgrade to the CRT Forum to address some issues that the membership have brought to our attention. The most common issues being the ability to upload photos to forum posts and having to log in separately to forum and the CRT Homepage.

We are looking for YOUR FEEDBACK to help guide us in creating an upgraded forum solution that is better integrated into the site so that you will no longer need two separate logins to access all areas of CRT.

Please note: There is a selection in the poll that is "Other". If you select "Other" please put the specifics in a Post Reply.

Thank you!

Other....... Alex, please bring back the old feature where members can post photos with short comments, that also allows other members to make comments on the same photos. This was a most entertaining portion of the old website that was lost in the website redo.

I may be odd-man-out here, but I never log into the main CRT site anymore. I book-mark the forum and head straight there, and cookie the login so it is automatic. But, that's just me.

I love the forums, but I *hate* the structure. I prefer the "Treeview" structure where you can easily follow (by indentation) a reply to a reply to a post, and can easily skip over them to simply read the replies to the OP's post first. I also prefer that posts not be 'open' by default.

The photo-posting activity on the board is almost a dead thing. I am not sure that returning the past functionality would prompt more image posts anymore. After all, you can post images now, but no one seems interested in it.

Thank you Lennydo! This is TREMENDOUS feedback that not one of us had thought about yet - and is something that I think is really important. I'm going to try and see if we can find this solution!

Hey BashfulDwarf - that's great too! Can you PM any links to some forums where you DO like the structure. As far as the photo posts - you guys are going to start being able to win stuff for posting trip reports with phots. COMING SOON!

Thanks for everyone's feeback! This is EXACTLY what we need!

I would like to present a different opinion of the "tree" view. I dislike it immensely. After a few replies to replies, you end up with a string of words, or letters, vertically down the right side of the page. Also, I like the feature of all the posts being open. I can scroll much easier than clicking on that little +.

Alex, your poll asked for feedback on the forum. I don't think the photo section where we were allowed to comment was ever in the forum section. Maybe if your poll question was about the web site, you would receive more suggestions. I did not comment before because I really don't have any problem with the forum. The search feature could be improved so we could tailor the search to what we are looking for, but I hardly ever do any searching.

Since I am returning to CR I tried to log into the home page area to download the maps.

It would not recognize my password, which works for the Board Index (obviously). I also tried, pictures, etc., but it seems that for some reason the CRT Home Page will not recognize my password.

What's up?

Health & happiness to all...........

Steve

Sorry to hear that you could not access the page.

Login for the main page is separate from the forum, and does not allow for spaces. So, in your case the username is SantasBro.

You can login directly with this page. https://costaricaticas.com/wp-login.php

There is a link on the bottom of the page for resetting the password.

I agree that it is a pain to have to log in twice. As BD mentioned, I nearly ever go to the main site anyway, so no big deal, but it seems unnecessary.
Having said that I don't go there, when I do, I like the pics that members post with notes also, bit it seems like you can never find them. They should be displayed, by catagory with newest posts first. At least then, we could have an idea how to dig through to see some faves based on how long ago they were posted, and I think most of us want current Chica's anyway, so we can at least dream that we may meet one of them on our trip
