I currently rent in a 55 + community in Broward county. I pay $900 for a nicely refurbished 2 bedroom condo. I have a bad feeling they will jack up the rent in a few months when my lease is up. In the same community they are asking right now for $950 on 2 beds. in a few years I will be buying a small condo and get out of this rental insanity.

The condo i,m now in is in West Boca-Century Village-2 bedrooms.I pay the landord $600 a month and he claims he,s just breaking even for the expenses-taxes,dues,insurance,says he,s paid cash for it,no moortgage

Depends how i look at it.Compared to a 2 mil unit in south beach i would say old stuff,but to a friend,s place in Margate -it,s average-not upgraded,but not old-sure it had some done in 30 years
