I was sitting on the beach in playa de coco which is about 7km from the source. Crazy experience but better than beingon 5th floor of building. The news said the hospital experienced some damage.

Not a lot too it...shook pretty hard and for at least 30 seconds. I was at home in San Ramon, twice as close to the epicenter as San Jose is and we didn't even lose electricity or internet and no damage at all so pretty sure no problems in San Jose.

I felt it in Guadalupe. Only lasted a few seconds. Telephone poles were swaying for a couple of minutes.

Weirdest thing I've ever experienced was being woken up in SJ by an earthquake. Freaky & not in a good way!
