I was getting money exchanged at the Presidente this morning and turned in 20's and a couple 100's.

They refused the 100 with CB B2 in the serial number as there seems to be a problem with those bills. They exchanged all the other cash without any problems.

Just an FYI to those coming down soon to check your bills and make sure you don't get stuck with money you can't exchange. She stated that no banks would exchange bills with CB B2 either.

I read something, on the Internet, about problems with $100 bills before my trip. Ran into a guy in Jaco that had a problem with a $100 bill. I took $50 bills on my trip FWIW.

Willy guess you can get even with me now for the Email I sent you from ZB last month :D

Thanks for the heads up..one of my 100's has those numbers. Will offload it for lesser bills at my bank on Lunes.

I haven't had a problem with any other $100's to exchange just those with the CB and no problems with any other bills $50 or $20

From what I have read on another site (non-mongering) $100.00 bills with the CB in the serial number will not be accepted in any bank in CR and at most businesses.

According to posting on that site there was a wave of counterfeit $100.00 bills all with the CB in the serial number so now they are automatically rejected.
