BlueDevil, your first post was super informative, your second one is no doubt accurate, but ask him what about the old buildings. Let's say Gran Hotel Costa Rica, the Post Office, the K*ds Museum, or other old SJ Dames or Cathedrals of that era or older? Even the old tipico houses in SJ or in the counrty?

Seismic resistant construction a consideration back then?

I hope so, especially if the chance of a repeat but at a higher elevation is of any considerable %.
