I am planning to travel to Costa Rica December 15 and returning on the 20th. I have read somewhere on this site that Christmas visits stands the chance of the girls being at home with their families. If I arrive as schedule, would I be able to expect many of the girls to still be working?

You should have an enjoyable trip during that time. Some of the girls from Dominican Republic, Colombia, or Nicaragua may have already left for home, but some of the remaining crew will be in serious need of holiday cash.

I typically plan my trips so that I'm there from early December till around the 15th or 18th. It's the beginning of the dry season so weather is generally pretty good. The girls seem to be happier, perhaps due to the Christmas spirit. The girls tend to be out in greater force and you probably stand a better chance of "deals" since they're trying to gather money for Christmas presents. Probably would not want to be there from Christmas Eve until after New Years but a week or couple weeks before Christmas should be very rewarding.
