My Spanish is poor; are they just going after the illegals (Nicas, Dominicans) or all the hookers? Do we think this is an occasional effort and everything will be back to normal in a week or two?

Everything should be back to normal, this is nothing extraordinary.

No, nothing special. Usual roundups of the working girls from other countries. News a few days later will say most were married to Ticos and were released. Some of the most enjoyable nights I've had here were with Shawn4DR, Scubabum and some others watching the immigration police rounding up girls...and filling two big tour buses full for the trip down town. Had to basically gag/restrain one friend from telling the police he had no passport and had been here for 4 months just so he'd get put on one of the buses

Looks exactly like an expose a couple of years back. Is Teletica the same as channel 7? I have heard from multiple people, but can't confirm, that channel 7 has lots of property in Guanacaste and that is why they bust on Jaco all the time. Could just be BS.....
