Hi Doc here.We are going to be down March 16 to March 23.We are staying at the sportsman.We have a rookie coming down with us.One problem, he needs a rental phone.(I try to tell him to use a ICE card).But he is a guy that demands to stay in touch with his company.If you can give me some info. I will pass it on.Such as cost and deposit and if he can get a phone at the airport.Thanks in advance.D c

Try this site out it's the only one I have found in my readings threw here.

There is also A company in the baggage claim area in the Airport. I have never used them so I can't comment, but they are there.

Also If your friend is on ATT, Cingular, or Tmobile they all now have receprical agreements with ICE and GSM Quad Band phones will work there. By the time he gets done renting phones, deposits, calls etc, if he has the above he should be fine and the cost will be a wash.

These guys are great. Enrico met me in the bar at the DR as soon as we arrived. The rental rate was $9.77 per day and included all calls made and received within Costa Rica and voice mail. International calls were billed at $1.17 per minute on all calls made. Received calls from anywhere were free. They did need a $325 security deposit but totally honored their part.

They were willing to deliver the telephone anywhere in the Central Valley (San José) or you could visit their downtown office to pick it up. They gave me the telephone number before I left home.
