Next time anyone's in a market or liquor store in CR I'd be curious how much a bottle of Flor de Cana Centenario 18 Year Rum costs. The going rate here in the U.S. seems to be about $50 and I'm curious has to how much less expensive it is to buy it locally in CR. I originally bought at bottle at the Duty Free shop at S.J. airport and don't remembr what I paid but it is a fantasic rum in my opinion. Thx.

Was 2 bottles for $55 at the DF in SJO but their "special" stopped about 2 - 3 months ago. Now its $10 or so more for the two bottles. So I switched to Zacapa 23 y/o from Guatemala. Little better IMHO & my novia prefers it a bit more. Last month they had a special - buy 5 bottles get the 6th for free, so I did. Wound up costing a little less that $40 a bottle - maybe $37 or so. But the bottles are full liters, not fifths, so overall a better deal, in my opinion.
