Would anyone even comprehend the thought of Help going down 2 yrs ago? One yr ago?

HDR is much easier to comprehend. I'm not sayin, just that now would be the time.

they did not say that this could be the start of the end of the HDR but actually came to a different conclusion

Question- I thought that last summer or fall the HDR got a new owner , the son of the owners was supposed to bought/take over the place. I think there was some mention of this on a thread on the change, about the same time of the gorda ban started. Just wondering :?: :?:

To the best of my knowledge John is the majority shareholder with Greg and Tim as the minority shareholders.

Chilli....You may have been right from the beginning about Chad. Some time back I was talking to one of the managers of the HDR,and he told me that Chad actually didn't steal any money to the best of their knowledge. It seems the owners believe that he was heavily in debt to the sportsbooks and skipped town without telling anyone.

Yeah Bob , I didnt think he was sharp enough or evil enough to take cash....but as you know bookies and books let players bet on credit or their word....everything is good until they run out of cash or try to double up .....when it was his turn to watch the tables ...he could care less....in fact there were times I felt I was the only one watching going on....there are a few guys who I have met while playing who own big sport books ....I would think at least one of them he must of hit....I had one of them offer me account with money line of $5,000 ....without even knowing me(just from seeing me on a few trips to san jose and playing tute) and I would see Chad talking about plays with the guy....and I asked him what kind of action did Chad play .....he said said he wasnt a $100 player so my guess $500 a play or higher (oh yeah...he told me he loved the colts )

I have played in the DR, and the two other craphole "casinos" nearby and they all cheat and steal from their customers... and they think I am so fing stupid I don't notice it? They got rid of the back bar in the DR to put in more tables and you don't see many people back there because they cheat and they are rude about it. what a phuking JOKE !

so nothing would suprise me about these criminals.

I support your comment.

I dated a casino dealer from HDR many years ago. She said the reason they have a "canasta" instead of the roulette is because they can "manually control" the ping-pong balls.

Moreover, when Chad was there, the HDR's casino was an awful working environment for the dealers. Chad was a sexual harrasser and the ladies had no way to complain, plus they were afraid to lose their job. (Currently â‚¡240,000 a month + â‚¡100,000 in tips).

Also, if clients won too much from a dealer, he/she would get fired. That's why they are constantly training and hiring new dealers. Three dealers started working there last week and 2 more are starting on Monday.

I have a few comments about the latest posts on this subject. The first comment is that the room where the old back bar is located has a new casino section that is used for poker and three tables for casino games. For your info, they seem to be doing quite well. For example,I played poker there last night until close to midnight. They had 2 full tables goingwith at least 3 other CRT members. As far as the "cheating" i'm pretty knowledgeable about casinos and the ONLY thing I have ever noticed is that they consciously "forget" to let the player in Rummy know that he has hit a rummy. Everything else is on the up and up. If you have some "specifics" then please let us know. My attitude is that they don't "cheat" because they don't have to. The games at the HDR have the worst rules possible so you really have no chance to even last a while at the tables. The biggest problem with gambling in any of the CR casinos is that there isn't a "gaming commission" to adjudicate any disagreements that occur at the tables. You are at their mercy. Saying that they fix the ping pong balls in the canasta games without proof is kind of silly. Also while accusing the other nearby casinos with NO SUBSTANCIATION isn't helpful to anyone. I have played Rummy at the Colonial 4-5 days a week for 7 years and I would vouch for their honesty in a minute.

Both the Horshoe and Colonial have good reputations as to honest games. The DR has a history of incorrrect payouts to unaware or drunk custmors.

when a casinos max bet is relatively small they dont have to cheat. From what i have observed the games are on the level(cannot speak about lesser payouts to drunks).Help (dealers and floor supervisers) is relatively weak and that causes problems.Dealers and supervisers afraid that someone might win.I rember talking to a boss at the DR on my first trip(sept 06) he was convinced that no player should ever win but did not care about all the slot jackpots that were hitting. Go figure.

For what its worth, I have seen dealers get destroyed more then once for real money and still retain jobs over the last 5 years. The casino work environment is pretty tough anywhere to be fair not to mention sexual advances towards staff. If a dealer continues to lose money to players in any casino situation, they will eventually lose their job (winning is the name of the game). HDR I would imagine is tough, but overall the players are big time losers (drunk or not). On occasions you get messed up payouts, but its usually nothing sinister. I have been paid in-correctly at both Horseshoe and Colonial during more then one occasion. I do find it interesting HDR no longer puts the payout info on the table like the old days. Most of the people working there I like. I just hate coming and going. If you want messed up payouts, ask the staff at Palma Real what payouts are on game like 3 card, good luck in getting the same response twice. lol.

for what it is worth ....the DR and every casino wants you to lose ...its that simple ...its seems worst to us at the DR or any san jose casino ....as 1. they think we are rich 2. they know we are on vacation (if we make a big score and we leaving the next day ...no shot at getting it back) 3. tipping .....I do tip ...but I feel over the years of going the dealers get "it" more now as they know if I hit a bonus ,,,they get paid as well ,but my first years ....they would always be in bad moods or even if I tipped them 5000c they would not change their mood or the way they talked to me. The night I hit for over 2600 us could of been made for a movie.....as I had the whole casino pit pissed off !!! you want to piss them off keep taking chips off the table and cash them in at the cage and re=buy in ...drives them nuts. That night I hit for the 2600us it was about 3:30 am and I felt the eyes of evil on me, I was staying at the morazan and I had my cash in all 4 of my jeans pockets, and I just sat there thinking of the best way to get out or maybe getting a room at the D.R. Anyway I thought , I wont give anyone a chance I played my last hand took the last of my chips and put them in my pocket and just got up and ran as fast as I could right out the side door past the taxi's and the begging K*ds .....I can see the the morazans front door's and 2 bums right in front of the morazan....I slipped past them and up the stairs I went ......so happy that I made it without anyone trying rob me .....

Specifics ? The Horse Shoe and the other place next door are much worse. The DR it's more the attitude than "picking up a few extra chips" etc....

Just the normal cheeseball dealer stuff.
