In the area of San Jose I live it was felt as a very mild shake. Certainly did not seem like a 5.2.

The distance and depth of the quake muted the effects felt in San Jose. People on the Pacific coast nearest the epicenter would have felt it more strongly.

I felt it pretty well, as I am on the 5th floor of an apt bldg. It never really got scary, but the building is built to 'roll with the punches' so it rolled for quite a while.

My flight left Alajuela for Houston at about 3:05PM so I was already on the plane at 2:50 PM. I didn't feel anything at all.

Hope you don't mind the share but I think you'll find the irony in it...
We were suppose to go on our Honeymoon 2/14 to the Dominican Republic, but the earthquake hit.
So we postponed it and decided to go to Denver for 2/14 to "see the snow" so what happens? We get a foot of snow in Texas.. the snowstorm of the decade! And our trip gets cut in half...
I've decided to go with plan B after the DR and come to Costa Rica in June.. and there's an Earthquake!

Maybe God knows what I want to do in CR?
