This is absolutely stunning. My mouth hung open for a while after reading it. Think it's alzheimers?

I always knew Neil was a little strange - very quiet through the years, didn't do interviews, etc. But how can you be on a flight to the moon and think 40 years later, you arrived in New Mexico? Does that mean the second, third, fourth Apollo landings were rigged, too? How can a disciplined pilot who flew fighter missions and test flights, some of the most hairy shit, later agree with conspiracy theories??

All I can say is life is rough. Getting old is not for sissies...

I'll weigh in on this.
The Onion is a COMEDY site. NOT REAL, GUYS!

I always believed the Moon Landings happened, but the videos have major flaws. I am convinced that IF we went to to the moon the videos were 'produced' for PR purposes, and aren't the real thing.
Or, maybe it was all a fake.

The moon landing (or not) is not something I am sure about..I would like it to be real.
I think you should look at the problems with the pictures before you comment.

It is an interesting thought that we did not go to the moon. As crazy as it sounds, it is not so crazy considering we havent gone back nor do we have the ability to go back, from what Nasa stated a few weeks ago, for another 20 years.

I think the hardest part to believe is that the tinfoil suits that the astronauts wore would not even stop any radiation much lass the massive amounts that are present. Not to mention the pictures, the lack of stars, the same lense used by the film of 2001 a space Odyssey by Stanly Kubric. Needless to say there is a ton of evidence that points to the mission to the moon as faked.

It is that hard to believe that our country would fake it so we could win the cold war? I dont think so?

If it’s in the “Onion” it must be true.

BEIJING -- Beijing's most popular newspaper has unwittingly republished a bogus story about U.S. Congress threats to skip town for Memphis or Charlotte unless Washington builds them a new Capitol building with a retractable dome.
The source? America's celebrated spoof tabloid, the Onion.

You need to read The Onion and other satiric sources to get the truth beneath the "truth". Those late-night guys are panty-waists by comparison (don't want to truly offend the sponsors, now do we?). This has always been the function of satire from the Greeks to Dean Swift (read what "Gulliver's Travels" was really talking about some time--some parallels to our time for sure) to the present day. The more savage the satire, the more deep-seated truths revealed, or "Flay the skin off the bastards and let's see what they are really about".

If you have a powerful enough telescope, you can see the LM's, and the rest of the junk we left on the moon. What? the footprints where planted too? Too funny!

Show me a footprint on your powerful telescope and dinner is on me!

I don't want to be the advocate for "It was a fake", nor do I want to just blindly accept.
The movies of the landing are clearly faked.
I can see where NASA might have done that because of the transmission difficulties (or some other excuse), but for me the subject is open to review.
