Why do you need skype if you only use your cell phone to make calls? Would calls to and from your cell phone look the same as any call you made in the states?

You are right regarding the caller ID, the difference is $$. Instead of spending $1.95 a minute with the AT@T international plan (In my case), I only have to pay $ 0.024 a minute when I call back to the States with Skype. The only problem is that you need a WiFi hotspot.

When I am in Costa Rica I use majic jack. Cost is $19.95 a year and the person you are calling has no idea where you are.

Here's a novel idea: Marry a woman with whom you can be completely honest.

I will be married 21 years this coming August 20, four days before I leave for C.R. Mrs. Ciego knows where I stay, has the phone numbers, knows my itinerary and the names of my closest friends in CRT. She also knows why I make my annual pilgramage to the land of leche y miel. it is something we have honestly negotiated.
