If you are engaged in physical contact you might as well kiss, DATY, etc. Think about it.

I also saw somewhere a recommendation in this country to "knock elbows" with someone else rather than shake hands. Just because some public official recommends something doesn't mean it makes much sense from an effectiveness and efficiency standpoint. The San Antonio school district recently closed down ALL of their schools just because there was ONE case of swine flu in ONE of their schools. It makes some sense to close a school that has been known to have an infection, but does it make sense to close the ENTIRE school system including school buildings where that infected student hadn't even been? I'm sure all the working parents in that district were overjoyed to have their K*ds stay home so they could stay home from work or scramble to find some day care. Real health experts that were interviewed even said what the public bureaucrats did in that case was gross overkill.

Personally, I tend to be with Rascal on this one. If we're going to be touching these chicas intimately anyway, what real difference does the kiss really make? We're going to be at somewhat higher risk no matter what. OTOH, you could make a similar argument for going bareback on FS. So where should we draw the line?

Without getting too much more into the advisability or effectiveness of different particular alternative practices that are being suggested now, surely at SOME point we're looking at silly overkill. And it doesn't really matter whether WE want to take our chances or not or think the actions of others are necessary or silly overkill. The people we meet and the chicas we shtoop are going to want to do or not do whatever it is THEY think is advisable, leaving us little choice but to go along.

There was a recent report by some CRTer seeing dancers wearing surgical masks and rubber gloves at a strip club in Chicago where they went. Nevermind that the guys there were probably still touching all over the dancers' bodies with the hands they may have coughed into moments before or at the very least stuffing bills into their garters that were similarly infected (try running a blacklight over some paper currency some time if you don't believe me). In a place like that, the dancers would have to go through more disinfecting wipes than Adrian Monk in order to stay clear of all the infecting microbes. OTOH, that CRTer also joked that some of the dancers at that particular club were so ugly that they probably benefited in other ways from covering their faces.

So Hank's jest about wearing a mask during DATY may not be so absurd. Maybe now we all really should be bringing down a supply of dental dams or saran wrap to help allay our concerns or those of the chicas if we want to go down on them.

Similarly, whether they like it or not, these chicas are going to be engaged in other practices that are going to leave them much more exposed than 2 people "air kissing" each other on the cheeks out on the street. At least they will if they expect to get any money from us. However, they're likely to at least take some actions that they think might mitigate some of the risk even if they still do other actions that are far riskier. And whether it seems illogical to us or not, chicas are going to do (or not do) whatever seems to logical to them. Hmm, chicas and logic? I never thought I'd use those 2 words in the same sentence.

So regardless of whatever we're still willing to do, I'm sure that what at least some of the chicas will be willing to do will be somewhat restricted. First of all, despite the current economic hardships in CR, I'm sure this will cause at least some chicas who might otherwise have worked at the HDR to pull back from doing so altogether. As for the chicas who still go there (or are showing up for work at the MP's), some of them who formerly may have done DFK might still do it but others will now only offer LFK or nothing at all in that area. Some chicas may pull back on what they'll do with their mouth at that end but not the other. But, I'm also sure somewhat fewer chicas than before will be willing to give BBBJ's (whether they still kiss or not). Maybe some of these chicas will just be using this flu thing as an excuse for not doing something they never really wanted to do that much before. But whatever the reasons for their "health safety" precautions, if you want something to be part of their repertoire, now more than ever, you better make sure that it is specified as part of your negotiations and expect some girls to flatly rule out certain things.

I do too, although it is tantamount to kissing every Tom, Dick, and Harry.
