Thank you for all your kind words of support and I look forward to meeting at least some of you during my next visit which should be in May.

Now what I've experienced in response to the comments:

- There is no question of PC with the Iraquis. We are not allowed off the base and they can't come on. The entire base is fenced and walled in a very high tech way. Iraqi workers and contractors come on and make good money by their standards but they are gone by nightfall and must reenter each day. The soldiers and airmen treat then respectfully but there are constant hasstles with understanding and work ethic.

- With respect to women . Sex ??? Forget about it. I get armed forces tv from Germany and there are ads that if you go to a prostitute bar off base you will get busted for being part of international slavery. On base forget it, no sleeping together. Too bad some of these pumped up , young airforce babes look fine. No booze or drugs on base which i support. No porno. The computer system is programmed to censor not just porno but also dating sites. In fact I'm surprised I got onto CRT. I guess the word Tica got thru ha, ha. There are Armed forces tv ads. showing a guy taking a drunk woman back to her apartment and saying do the right think stop at the door. Or 2 women in a club one comments about a guys nice bod... the other two get up and walk away. Quite a change from NAM.

- It's like living under communism... no money needed, free everything but strictly structured and regulated, primative conditions, rocket attacks, part of the base look like a junk yard, concrete barriers all over, no private bathrooms, great pay. I was shocked to ask my buddy from Kentucky what his plans are for the weekend. He said with a straight face... do the laundry.bathroom only.

Anyway keep posting comments. I love to read them.

Regards,

Wayne

Wayne:

The Orwellian alternate reality of feminism that has been introduced, virus like, into our military culture, doesn't call it "international slavery". No, the term they use is "human trafficking". Y'see, that Nica, Dominicana, or Paisa that takes a plane to San Jose to meet with us and ask for "cien" is somehow a victim that has to be "protected" from our money.

If you've worn combat boots during the last three years, you have been exposed to mandatory anti-human trafficking training.

The training teaches you that evil "recruiters" target people who "need" money and jobs. They promise them training and/or guaranteed employment if only they will sign "contracts" and allow themselves to be shipped overseas. Upon arrival, the victims lose their rights to quit and are often not allowed to leave or return to their home countries. Sometimes, necessary travel documents are withheld so they cannot escape. Sometimes the trafficking victim is not allowed to leave the work premises. Sometimes the victims are locked up on compounds that they cannot escape from and kept from even talking to people about getting help.

Hey, wait a second! I feel like I am victim of human trafficking! A recruiter made all sorts of promises! I was "tricked" into signing a "contract"! I was lured away from home with false promises of a nice job overseas. Even though I want to go home, they won't let me. Fences and guards prevent me from leaving the place of employment.

Uncle Sam...the world's biggest human trafficker! And unlike the Robo-Colombiana asking for "cien", I don't even get to work someplace nice like San Jose!

I enjoyed my service, I loved the institution, but I am counting down until I get my 30, and would never recommend that any young person should join this feminized, politically correct, confused farce of an Armed Forces. It will only get worse after the present administration forces us to open the doors to openly gay recruits.

Not that gays can't be good troops, but because for every flamboyant one who joins to make a political point, 10 straight young men and women will reconsider their decision at the Entrance Station and decide not to swear in. The San Francisco recruiting stations will not be swamped with applicants when Congress changes the law, but thousands of potential recruits will be turned of in the other 99% of America.
