My first bike Honda 305 Scrambler. I thought I was so cool.

My friend and I rode it to H.S. graduation in our gowns. We thought we were really cool until he tried to get off and found his gown was melted on to the tail pipe. We had to rip that sucker off.

Having ridden motorcycles for almost 50 years, I would have to think long and hard before I would get on a bike in San Jose.

I was fortunate enough to be taught by some of the best riders. While I was not the best, I was pretty good. But a man’s got to know his limitations and in Costa Rica, the limitations are the seriously insane and dangerous fools who drive automobiles and trucks upon the highways and bi-ways. You are not a fellow motorist, you are a target.

WOw. RIP Bo. I haven't been on this forum in a while and just learned of the news. I hung out with all these cats in CR and are the best of the best. Tom and his wife are always great hosts. Bo was a quiet guy. Very cool to talk to. Had a chance to meet his son as well. Like his dad. Smart and a great guy. If any of you run into Tom tell him his tattoo'd pal from Naples sends his hello and my condolences.

Saw Tom and his novia (Allejandra's mom) at the Saturday morning farmers market in October. Talked to him for a few minutes. Said he was doing well. So he's still in the immediate area.

Bo. What a great guy! Always a smile and a friendly word. When talking with Bo you would catch him stealing a glimpse at his bike every few minutes -- ostensibly to check that his bike wasn't being hijacked but Bo just seemed to enjoy looking at it -- the bike was part of Bo.

We all grow attached to things (cars, houses, boats, golf clubs, guitars, pets and people) and lifestyles that are not always antiseptically safe. But then, this is a thread about Bo not safety. What a great guy! It is good to know that he was able to live a lifestyle of his choice where he wanted and with people he loved. What a thoughtful guy! Bo is missed but not forgotten.

RIP Bo. He was a good guy. I still remember being in ther Bar toward closing with only Me, Bo, one other guy and 2 putas. He got the cutest one to strip down bare ass naked and give a "coyote ugly" type dance show on the bar. Good times.

IIRC, Ronnie, the previous owner of tha Castillo (back when it was Sonny's, before Tom bought it) Also got killed in a MC accident. Although this one happened in Rhode Island or somewhere in New England.
